Ullman Sails has a rich and diverse history dating back nearly 50 years. David Ullman founded the first Ullman Sails loft in the coastal town of Corona Del Mar, CA in 1967. David Ullman established a culture of openness and collaboration both on and off the water. Combined with the quality and success of its sails, Ullman Sails stands apart from the competition.
With our commitment to quality through superior product, service and design and our drive to foster the best sailing experience possible, Ullman Sails has attracted top sail makers who share this same passion, bringing our own histories and traditions to the group and creating a network of locations in over 75 locations in more than 30 countries and on 6 continents.
Ullman Sails Gulf Coast joined the Ullman Sails International network of lofts back in 2006. David Bolyard opened the loft in Mandeville, Louisiana in 1981 after working as a sailmaker back in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida back in 1977. Since 1981 we have grown from a small two person two sewing machine business into a 4500 sq. ft. full production loft.
